Chief of Protocol Department Meets with Swiss Ambassador to Iraq Residing in Amman

The Chief of the Protocol Department Mr. Ali Shamran met with the Swiss ambassador to Iraq residing in Amman, Mr. Lukas Gasser and discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them.

Mr. Ali Shamran stressed the importance of reopening the embassy because of its great impact on strengthening cooperation and developing relations in various fields, expressing the Ministry’s readiness to provide all the necessary facilities to achieve this goal.

On his part, the Swiss ambassador expressed his country’s desire to reopen the Swiss embassy in Baghdad early next year.
