The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Rome Participates in Opening Session of International Forum for Mediterranean Dialogues

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Rome Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail participated in the opening session of the Sixth International Forum for Mediterranean Dialogues (MED 2020) by video conference which was inaugurated by the Italian Foreign Minister Mr. Luigi Di Maio on Wednesday 11/25/2020, the forum will host Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, and the Minister of Oil Mr. Ihssan Abdul Jabbar and a number of officials in its next sessions.

The forum is considered one of the most important international forums that discuss the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. A number of Iraqi officials have previously participated in the conference during the meetings that were held in the past, along with figures from research centers and Iraqi civil society.

The forum witnesses wide participation of several heads of state, prime ministers, foreign ministers, representatives of international organizations, as well as political and cultural figures, and civil society institutions. The forum is held for the period from 11/25/2020 to 4/12/2020, and include Political forums, private dialogues about the major challenges for the future of the Mediterranean, and a discussion of the consequences of the Corona virus Pandemic
