The Foreign Minister Chairs Meeting of National Committee Concerned with Activating Electronic Visas

The Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein chaired a meeting of the National Committee concerned with granting electronic visas. The meeting was attended by National Security Adviser Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Raed Jouhi, and a number of representatives of the Ministries and agencies concerned.

During the meeting, the technical and coordination mechanisms were discussed to activate the granting of electronic visas to a number of countries at Iraqi airports, after taking all the measures in this regard, as this step reflects support of the tourism and investment sector in the country.

The meeting also discussed the technical and logistical mechanisms that would facilitate the work and define the regulations and procedures regulating it.

On his part, the Foreign Minister reviewed the importance of forming a committee to follow up the outcome of the meeting in order to prepare a report for discussion at a later time before it is presented to the National Security Council.
