Acting Head of Asia and Australia Department Meets with Japanese Consul in Erbil

The Acting Head of Asia and Australia Department Mr. Haider Radhi Al-Shamrati, met with Ms.Nagayama Yoshiko, the Japanese Consul in Erbil.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them in the political, economic, and cultural fields in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples. They also discussed the importance of joint coordination in international forums.

Mr. Al-Shamrati expressed the Ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the Japanese Embassy in Baghdad to facilitate within the framework of strengthening relations between the two countries.

Ms. Yoshiko also expressed her desire to facilitate the procedures for presenting the credentials of the new Japanese ambassador to Baghdad to Mr. Barham Salih, President of the Republic, and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein.
