The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Rome Participates in Dialogue on Comprehensive and Sustainable Rural Transformation in Arab Region

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Rome, Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail, participated in a high-level virtual dialogue on intensifying the involvement of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) for a comprehensive and sustainable rural transformation in the Arab region.

This dialogue comes in light of the repercussions of the new Coronavirus pandemic crisis on the path of rural development, which has greatly affected the alleviation of poverty in rural areas, the ability to withstand climate change, and the economic and social crises.

The dialogue was attended by 89 representatives of the member states of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in the Near East and North Africa region.
