Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Islamabad Meets with Pakistani Health Minister
Ambassador of Iraq in Islamabad Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta met with Dr. Faisal Sultan, Health Minister of Pakistan.
The two sides discussed the procedures followed between the two countries regarding Coronavirus, and ways to contain this virus.
They also discussed the issue of the religious visit to Iraq for its great importance to Muslims in the world.
The Ambassador confirmed that the Iraqi government is studying the issue of the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein – peace be upon him – for this year.
On his part, Mr. Faisal affirmed that the Ministry of Health is working in coordination with the Pakistani Crisis Cell, to prepare an action plan for the visit, and that the Iraqi embassy will be provided with it in the event of its completion, and that they are awaiting the Iraqi government’s decision in this regard.
