The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Holy See Meets with Secretary of Relations with States
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Holy See, Mr. Rahman Farhan Al-Amiri met with the Secretary of Relations with States Monsignor Paul Gallagher.
Ambassador Al-Amiri explained that Iraq is the country of all , and that Christians are the original people of the country, and there is no difference between the people of the same country, as everyone is a partner in building the future of Iraq,
adding that victories achieved by Iraqis against the evil gangs and Da’esh terrorists brought the unity of the Iraqi people, their cohesion and the sacrifices by all the Iraqi armed forces, including the army, the police, the popular and tribal mobilization, and the peshmerga in liberating the areas that were under the control of the terrorist organization, including the Nineveh Plain, stressing that the government is working hard to rebuild the areas that were under the control of Da’esh terrorist gangs, to return the displaced, and to rehabilitate the victims with the help of the international community, especially the Holy See.
On his part, the Secretary for Relations with States welcomed the Ambassador, wishing him success in his duties, and affirmed the State Secretariat’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of bilateral relations between the two countries.
