The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with Foreign Secretary of Pakistan

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Islamabad Mr. Hamid Abbas met with Mr. Sohail Mahmoud, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary.
After the two sides exchanged greetings, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the common ties and ways to enhance them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The two sides also discussed files related to the mission’s work, as well as coordination and cooperation in various fields, including the issue of religious visits, because of their sanctity to the people and the Pakistani government.

The two sides also stressed the need to activate the Iraqi-Pakistani joint committee and the political dialogue committee between the two Foreign Ministries, and to determine a date for its meeting.
