Foreign Minister Invites his Italian Counterpart to Visit Iraq

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein made a phone call with Italian Foreign Minister Mr. Luigi Di Maio.

The two Ministers discussed ways to advance the bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to exploring opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The Minister made the call from Washington, as he was on an official visit with a high-level delegation accompanying the Prime Minister.

The Minister invited his Italian counterpart to visit Iraq within the framework of the mutual interest to strengthen ways of coordination between the two countries in many important issues.

They also discussed a number of issues related to regional situations of mutual concern.
