The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Rome Remembers the Crimes against Yazidis
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Rome organized a stand of solidarity and remembrance on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the tragedy of crimes against humanity committed by Da’esh against the Yazidis of Iraq.
The Iraqi ambassador to Italy, Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail, considered that August 3, 2014 is a sad day for Iraq and humanity, as it represents one of the most heinous crimes in the twentieth century, explaining that Iraq and the world have respect and reverence for the courage and struggle of Yazidis, women, men and children.
Ambassador Safia Al-Suhail noted the efforts made at national and international levels to achieve justice, and to prosecute criminals, stressing the importance of continuing to work to liberate women and children kidnapped by Da’esh terrorist gangs and to facilitate the return of displaced persons.
The embassy staff and the military and commercial attachés participated in the gathering and a representative of the families of the victims, Mr. Mirza Hami, who lost four martyrs of his family, the last of them his child who died in a hospital in Italy.
