The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Brussels Presents his Credentials as Head of Iraqi Mission to European Union

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Brussels, Mr. Sadiq Al-Rikabi presented his credentials as head of the Iraqi delegation to the European Union to the President of the European Council, Mr. Charles Michel, at the European Union headquarters in Brussels.
The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Saleh and the Iraqi government, confirming Iraq’s desire to develop bilateral relations with the European Union in various fields, activating the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between Iraq and the European Union, and utilising European capabilities and expertise to support Iraq in the political, economic, and security areas.
On his part, the President of the European Council stressed the importance of Iraq as an important regional player, stressing the readiness of the European Union to provide the assistance and support it needs.
