The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with Pakistan’s Army Chief of Staff

Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad met with General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Army Chief of Staff of Pakistan.
The Ambassador thanked the efforts made to provide an opportunity for Iraqi military officers to participate in the advanced training courses held by the Pakistani Ministry of Defense to enhance and develop the military experience on the Iraqi side, stressing the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral relations in all aspects and upgrading the level of historical and fraternal relations between the two countries.
On his part, General Javed welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on his assumption of his duties as ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, wishing him success in strengthening bilateral relations to serve the two countries, affirming his country’s permanent support to Iraq in all fields, including military and economic fields.
