The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Rome Meets with Italian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Rome, Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail, met with Italian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Mr. Manlio Di Stefano.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, activating the work of the Iraqi-Italian joint committee to hold its fourth session in Baghdad.

They also discussed the importance of raising prospects for cooperation between the industrial, agricultural, commercial and health fields.

Ambassador Al-Suhail called on the Italian side to expand the role of Italian companies in Iraq, and contribute to the reconstruction and support joint projects for the Iraqi and Italian private sectors.

On his part, Mr. Manlio Di Stefano, affirmed that his country attributes great importance to the work of Italian companies in Iraq, and coordinates with them in a manner that contributes to strengthening relations between the two countries.
