The Representation of Republic of Iraq in Geneva Participates in Inter-Sessional Meetings of Convention Banning Anti-Personnel Mines

The Permanent Representation of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office at Geneva participated in a videoconference in the inter-sessional meetings of the Anti-Personnel Mines Convention (APLC) for the period from 30/6/to 2/7/2020.
The Representation provided updated information on Iraq’s efforts to implement the Convention in various areas, and participated in a number of panel discussions on victim assistance, cooperation, assistance, and implementation of Article 5 of the Convention, cooperative compliance, as well as a discussion of the use of alternatives to real mines for training purposes.
