The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Prague Meets with Czech Deputy Foreign Minister
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq Mrs. Sundus Omar Ali met with Mrs. Michaela Marksova, Czech Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs.
The Bilateral relations between Iraq and the Czech Republic were discussed in all fields, and the activation of the memorandum of understanding for the political consultations signed between the foreign ministries of the two countries in 2017, and the exchange of official visits between senior officials of the two countries were discussed.
Emphasis was also placed on supporting the request of the Iraqi government to remove the name of Iraq from the list of high-risk countries in the field of money laundering and terrorist financing issued by the European Commission, and the possibility of benefiting from Czech innovations and experiences in the field of confronting the emerging Coronavirus, and providing medical and technical assistance to Iraq in this field, and facilitate the process of transferring his stranded citizens.
They also discussed the interfaith dialogue conference to be held in October, and considered some of the challenges facing the Muslim community in the Czech Republic.
