The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Kingdom of Spain Meets with Undersecretary for Spain’s Health and Consumers Affairs

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in the Kingdom of Spain Dr. Adel Mostafa met with Mr. Faustino Blanco, the Spanish Undersecretary for Health and Consumers Affairs, and Mr. Rodrigo Gutirth, Director General of Professional Management.

The two sides discussed signing a bilateral memorandum of understanding between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Spain to benefit from the experiences of the Kingdom of Spain in dealing with the pandemic, the regional quarantine strategies, the health emergency system, and providing support to Iraq in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, and agreed to hold a virtual meeting through video conference technology between experts from both sides.

Ambassador Adel Mostafa called for the necessity of concerted international efforts to deal with this crisis.

On his part, the Spanish Undersecretary expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide Iraq with the medical protocol followed, and to donate the necessary medical supplies.
