The Chargé d’affairs of Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Berlin Participates in Virtual Meeting with State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office

The Chargé d’affairs of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq, Mr. Ahmed Al-Saadi, participated in the virtual meeting held via video conference with Mr. Miguel Berger, German State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Berlin to exchange ideas on “the German presidency of the European Union Council, and the membership of the Security Council.”

During the meeting, Iraq’s demands were conveyed in rejection of the recent European Commission’s decision on placing Iraq on the list of high-risk countries in the area of ​​money laundering and terrorist financing, and condemning Turkish military attacks on Iraqi sovereignty. The meeting also discussed several Arab issues and concerns, including, the Palestinian issue, the Libyan and Syrian crisis in addition to the situation in Yemen.
