The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Meets with Egyptian Prime Minister
The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo and the Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi met with the Egyptian Prime Minister Mr. Mostafa Madbouly.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dulaimi conveyed the greetings of Iraqi Prime Minister Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, and their wishes for the Egyptian people further progress and prosperity.
The two sides discussed the methods of preparation and coordination for the convening of the joint Iraqi-Egyptian high committee to be held in Baghdad.
Ambassador Al-Dulaimi expressed Iraq’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially the economic field by activating and expanding cooperation frameworks, stating Iraq’s aspiration to enhance the presence of Egyptian companies contributing to the reconstruction process.
On his part, Prime Minister Madbouly praised the depth of historical relations between the two countries, which are considered one of the basic foundations of the Arab world due to human and logistical capabilities, stressing Egypt’s support for Iraq, and its immediate readiness to supply Iraq with medical equipment and supplies that help in facing the Coronavirus, and directing to reduce treatment fees for members of the Iraqi community residing in Egypt infected with the virus.
Prime Minister Mr. Mustafa Madbouly also expressed his country’s interest in participating in the reconstruction efforts by encouraging Egyptian private sector to participate effectively in investments, and provide technical expertise for the development and reconstruction of the Iraqi Governorates affected by Da’esh terrorist organization , affirming Egypt’s steadfast stance on the unity of Iraq and its sovereignty over its entire territory, and rejection of any external interventions.
