The Iraqi Chargé d’affairs a.i Participates in Virtual Consultative Meeting of NAM Ambassadors

The Iraqi Chargé d’affaires a.i in Geneva Mr. Abbas Kadhim Obaid participated in the virtual consultative meeting organized by the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations in Geneva as Chairman of the Group of Non-Aligned Movement states.

The meeting hosted the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Mr. Mukhisa Kituyi , and views were exchanged on the contribution and role of UNCTAD to developing countries during the health crisis, and the discussion took place on the movement’s preparedness for the 44th session of the Human Rights Council.

Iraq stressed the importance of preparing data in the sessions of the Human Rights Council, and that other important issues are reflected Including the credibility of state reporting reports.
