The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Madrid Meets with President of Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Vice-President of Federation of Chambers of Commerce

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Madrid, Dr. Adel Mostafa Kamel met with the President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and the Vice-President of the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce Mr. Angel Asensio, the Deputy General Director of the Chamber Mrs. Elsa Salvadores Janssen and member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Mr. Pablo Perez, to discuss activating the means of joint cooperation between the relevant Spanish institutions and their Iraqi counterparts to serve bilateral economic relations.
The Ambassador commenced the depth of the Iraqi-Spanish bilateral relations, and Spain’s role in helping Iraq to confront Da’esh terrorist gangs within the Global Coalition, expressing aspiration to give more momentum to the economic field, and to maintain dialogues between businessmen, companies and investors from both countries.

On his part, Mr. Angel affirmed the Spanish government’s keenness to activate economic cooperation with Iraq.
The two sides also agreed to hold a virtual meeting between the Spanish businessmen and their Iraqi counterparts in preparation for the establishment of the joint economic forum in 2021.
