Iraq Participates in an Interactive Dialogue on Libya

Chargé d’affaires and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office at Geneva Mr. Kadhim Obaid participated in the interactive dialogue on the report of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Libya in the work of the (43) session of the Human Rights Council.

In his speech Dr. Kadhim affirmed Iraq’s steadfast stance that a peaceful solution is the basis in dealing with crises and disputes faced by states, calling on the international community to unify its efforts to implement relevant international resolutions in support of stability and constructive dialogue between all Libyan parties to achieve national reconciliation and stressed the non-interference in its affairs, stopping the flow of illegal arms, and helping it to combat and eliminate terrorism.
