The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Netherlands Operates First Exceptional Flight
The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in The Hague conducted the first exceptional flight to transport Iraqis stranded in the Netherlands due to the ban and flight suspension with 140 passengers on board.
This exceptional flight comes through the continuous efforts of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq in The Hague, and under the direct supervision and follow-up of Ambassador Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi in coordination with the Iraqi and Dutch civil aviation authorities.
The embassy was keen to be present to ensure the smooth flow of the procedures and bid farewell to the travelers, as several diplomatic staff were present at the airport to check on the safety of the citizens until they boarded the plane to return safely to the homeland.
The embassy intends to make another exceptional flight to Erbil, to evacuate Iraqis residing in the governorates of the Kurdistan Region.
