Foreign Minister Meets the British Ambassador to Baghdad
Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with British Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Stephen Hickey.
The Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his assumption of the duties of the Foreign Ministry.
The Minister affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, noting the challenges that the country faces in health, economic and security levels, the low global oil prices and their impact on the global economy.
The Ambassador praised the efforts made by Iraq in combating Da’esh terrorist gangs, pointing to the threat posed by this terrorist organization unless it is eliminated.
Minister Fuad Hussein praised the prior cooperation between the two countries in the oil sector, stressing the importance of sustaining the relationship with diplomatic missions and countries in the region, and the need to create a state of balance, and avoiding Iraq to become an arena for conflicts.
