The Departure of the 16th Exceptional Flight from Cairo to Baghdad
An exceptional flight departed the Egyptian airspace towards Baghdad today to return the stranded Iraqis with (270) passengers on board.
This flight was organised through the continuous coordination by the Protocol Department, which approached the relevant authorities to assist in opening the airspace for the flight to be operated by Iraqi Airways.
The travelers were accompanied by the diplomatic staff to complete their travel procedures and to overcome any difficulties they might encounter.
This flight is the 16th launched by our embassy in Cairo, with a total number of (3894) passengers.
The competent authorities in Iraq and Egypt announced earlier the suspension of civil aviation flights due to the ban measures in confronting Coronavirus.
