The Protocol Department in the Foreign Ministry had an active role in the obtaining of approvals for the Iraqi Airways flights to enter the airspace of many countries to return stranded Iraqis, and it contributed to the return of (14391), from (20) countries, in (75) flights and two land trips .
All the countries that were asked to open their airspace to transport the stranded citizens had responded, which made it possible to speed up the organization of the return flights in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority and Iraqi Airways.
