The Embassy of Republic of Iraq to Madrid Operates an Exceptional Flight

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Madrid has made an exceptional flight to return the Iraqis stranded in Spain due to the comprehensive ban measures taken by the countries of the world in the face of the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The flight carried (110) passengers on board in cooperation with Iraqi Airways.

The Iraqi embassy through its official account on social media called on Iraqi citizens who are in Spain that wish to return to Iraq to register their data to prepare for the return flight on Iraqi Airways.

The Foreign Ministry through the Protocol Department had approached the Spanish side to obtain approval for the enterance of the Iraqi Airways plane to transport the stranded in Madrid in light of the suspension of flights between different countries of the world.

The Ambassador Dr. Adel Mustafa and the diplomatic staff made extraordinary efforts and accompanied the travellers to the airport to facilitate the procedures for their return.
