Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Rome: Lighting the Embassy Building in Colours of Iraqi and Italian Flags, a Message of Solidarity and Cooperation to Address Coronavirus Pandemic
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Rome has lit its building in the colors of the Iraqi and Italian flags, in line with the initiative of the Council of Arab Ambassadors to embassies of Arab countries to light their buildings in the colors of the Italian flag.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, Mrs. Safia Taleb Al-Suhail, affirmed that this comes in accordance with the initiative of the Council of Arab Ambassadors, which called for lighting the buildings of the Arab embassies in Rome in the colors of the Italian flag to express the solidarity of the countries and the Arab peoples in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Ambassador Al-Suhail added that this initiative is an Iraqi message of solidarity on the occasion of the anniversary of the Italian liberation day on April 25, which coincides this year with national and international efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic and to confirm that the Iraqi government and people stand with friends in Italy as they face this pandemic.
The Ambassador mentioned in the event attended by the Iraqi staff of the embassies in Italy and the Holy See and the military and commercial attachés, and a group of Iraqi students (On Line) that the Iraqi and Italian people whose blood mixed in the war on terrorism and the consolidation of stability in our country today through the mixing of the feelings by lighting the embassy building in colors of the two countries flags as an expression of the depth of relations between the two friendly countries.
Ambassador Al-Suhail stressed that Iraq is keen on coordination and joint work in all fields, whether it is in the field of addressing this pandemic, or to consolidate stability in the region and the world, and to maintain international peace and security.
