The Arrival of 324 Iraqis from Arab Republic of Egypt
Two Iraqi Airways planes carrying 324 Iraqi passengers stranded in Egypt departing from Cairo International Airport arrived at Baghdad International Airport.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi praised the cooperation and continuous coordination with the relevant Egyptian authorities, noting that preparations were made for another seventh extraordinary flight tomorrow, Wednesday, 14/4/2020, indicating that the embassy continues to receive requests from Iraqis who wish to return to the country.
The Ambassador stressed that the embassy continues to follow the conditions of the Iraqis in Egypt and work to overcome the difficulties facing them.
The embassy based on the approval of the Diwan Committee (55) for the year 2020, announced its intention and in coordination with the crisis cell formed in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry and the rest of the ministries and the Office of the Iraqi Airways in Cairo, and in accordance with repercussions of the recent Coronavirus crisis have conducted (4) exceptional flights during the previous period, to return Iraqis stranded in Egypt to Baghdad after cooperating with the relevant Egyptian authorities.
