During his Meeting with Ambassadors and Heads of Arab Missions in Ankara, Foreign Minister Affirms” We Pursue Balance and Commit to Dialogue to Resolve Outstanding Issues

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ankara, several ambassadors and heads of Arab missions accredited to Turkey. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Hassan Al-Janabi and the diplomatic staff at the embassy.

During the meeting, the Minister briefed on the most important challenges facing Iraq at all levels, indicating the Iraqi government’s vision on resolving them, stressing that the policy pursued by Iraq sets dialogue, coordination and commitment to common interests as ways to solve crises.

Minister Fuad Hussein noted the nature of the historical relations between Iraq and Turkey, and that his visit comes upon an official invitation from his Turkish counterpart, Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu, in preparation for the visit of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to Ankara.

Minister Fuad Hussein discussed the most important files between Baghdad and Ankara during this visit and what emerged from the bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart.

Minister Fuad Hussein  listened to the views and positions expressed by the attendees in favor of joint Arab action and the anticipated role for Iraq as it regains its presence at all levels, praising the victories achieved by the Iraqis in the face of extremism and Da’esh terrorist gangs, affirming the unity of the position on the most important issues that bind their countries to Iraq hoping for achieving common interests in the service of all parties.
