Foreign Minister Receives a Copy of Credentials of Belarus’ Non-resident Ambassador to Iraq

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Victor Rybak, the new non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Iraq, and discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to advance them to meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the need for bilateral relations between Baghdad and Minsk to gain more attention, and to invest the many and multiple prospects of cooperation, pointing out that Iraq has funds owed by Belarus, which file must be settled because Iraq is going through exceptional economic conditions.

The Minister called on the Belarusian side to cooperate in solving the problems and obstacles that the Iraqi students face in Minsk, stressing the need to hold the work of the joint Iraqi-Belarusian committee in Baghdad.

On his part, Mr. Victor Rybak affirmed his country’s readiness to support Iraq, and to seek cooperation with Iraq in the field of health products, medical care and cooperation in the oil sector and the field of sports, revealing the desire of Belarusian businessmen to invest in Iraq.
