Foreign Minister Receives Turkish Ambassador to Iraq

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received Turkey’s ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Fatih Yildiz at the Ministry building in Baghdad. During the meeting they discussed the most prominent issues of concern to Baghdad and Ankara, and ways to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of coordination, activating common interests and facing challenges, and expressed his aspiration to work to support and strengthen Iraqi-Turkish relations in a way that reflects their particularity and strategy, and stressed the importance of continuing to work to achieve the common interests of the two neighboring countries in the next stage.

On his part, the Turkish ambassador affirmed his country’s interest in ways to advance the course of bilateral relations, and consultations on developments in the regional situation and other international issues of common interest.
