The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Participates in Inauguration of Jadidat Arar Crossing

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Qahtan Taha participated in the inauguration of a new  Jadidat Arar crossing in the presence of Lieutenant General Othman Al-Ghanmi, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq and Prince of the Northern Borders Region Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan.

The Ambassador pointed out that the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had a great and pivotal role in coordinating communications, and meetings between the Iraqi Border Ports Authority and the rest of the relevant state institutions and ministries with their counterparts on the Saudi side, and made strenuous efforts to provide a positive negotiating atmosphere that resulted in achieving this. The achievement, which is an essential step in activating relations in all fields between the two brotherly countries, as it will facilitate the movement of Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims on their land travel to perform the sacred rituals in Makkah and Madinah, and that the economic revenues will be significant as the opening of the port will contribute to increasing trade exchange between the two countries and will encourage major Saudi companies to invest in Iraq.
