Ambassador Bakr Fattah Hussain Presents Credentials as Ambassador Extraordinaire and Non-Resident of Republic of Iraq to President of Republic of Slovenia

Ambassador Bakr Fattah Hussein presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinaire and Non-Resident of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Slovenia to the President of the Republic, Mr. Borut Bahor.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Hussein conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi , to President Bahor, and Iraq’s desire to move forward with the development of bilateral relations, and cooperation in all fields between Baghdad and Ljubljana.

The ambassador expressed his thanks for the role that the friendly Republic of Slovenia has played and continues to play in supporting Iraq in its fight against terrorism and Da’esh terrorist gangs, as terrorism is an international scourge that harms the international community alike, as well as its role in the stability of Iraq.

On his part, President Pahor expressed his welcome to the ambassador and his emphasis on the strength of the relations between the two countries, the great role of Iraq regionally and internationally, the importance of its stability, which reflects positively on the international environment, and the need to continue and develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields because of its role in strengthening the ties between the two countries and the continued support of Slovenia for Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
