Foreign Minister Receives a Copy of Credentials of Japanese Ambassador to Iraq

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Kotaro Suzuki, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, and discussed relations between Iraq and Japan in addition to ways to develop to the aspirations of both friendly peoples.

Minister Fuad Hussein praised Japan’s stances in support of Iraq, especially the assistance it provided to support efforts to confront the outbreak of the new Coronavirus pandemic, calling on Japanese companies to invest, especially in infrastructure reconstruction projects.

The Minister affirmed his support for the new ambassador’s efforts to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Tokyo, and to develop bilateral cooperation in a way that achieves common interests.

Minister Fuad Hussein also wished the Ambassador success in his duties, expressing the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide all facilities to the diplomatic mission.
