The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with President of Republic of Pakistan

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, met with the President of the Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Arif Alawi.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Barham Salih, Prime Minister Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, and discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries on issues of common interest, the most important of which is the security aspect in a way that achieves the common interest of the two friendly countries.

On his part, the Pakistani President praised the developed relationship between the two friendly countries, and affirmed that his country stands with the Iraqi government in its war against extremist terrorism and its efforts in fighting corruption and building the state, praising the courage and bravery of the Iraqi military establishment for its response to the terrorist organization Da’esh which indicates that Iraq is defending itself and on behalf of the world.
