The Chargé d’affairs of Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Meets with Speaker of Malaysian House of Representatives

The Chargé d’sffairs of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Hamid Al-Jubouri, met with the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives , Mr. Azhar Azizan Harun.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them in the political, economic, and cultural fields in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples.
They also discussed the importance of joint coordination in international forums.

The meeting discussed means of cooperation between the Council of Representatives of both countries, strengthening bilateral relations in all economic, industrial and agricultural sectors, and encouraging Malaysian companies to invest in Iraq.

Mr. Al-Jubouri called for the reopening of the Malaysian embassy in Baghdad within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out that Iraq seeks to achieve balanced relations based on common interests, preserving sovereignty, and not interfering in internal affairs.

On his part, Mr. Harun stressed the importance of strengthening and developing relations in all fields, indicating that the Malaysian government’s policy and stance is firm in not interfering in the internal affairs of countries and respecting international laws.
