The Foreign Minister Reviews Governments Efforts to Face Challenges

The Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, received Mr. Martin Jäger, German
State Secretary of Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The Minister reviewed the government’s efforts to face challenges, and its keenness to enhance confidence between it and the people, in addition to the government’s intention to adopt comprehensive development plans for all economic field including industrial, agricultural, and service sectors.

The meeting came in the German capital, Berlin, as Minister Fuad Hussein was on an official visit in response to the invitation addressed to him to meet with several officials.

On his part, Mr. Martin Jäger affirmed his government’s position to support the efforts of the Iraqi government to face the challenges, foremost among which is the Coronavirus pandemic, the reconstruction of liberated areas, and the advancement of the economic and service reality in Iraq in light of difficult regional environment.

The German side also reviewed its plans towards strengthening economic and development relations with Iraq, stressing that Iraq is a strategic priority for Germany, and that it has all the constituents for economic success, including natural and human resources.
