The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Participates in Meeting of 106th Session of Economic and Social Council of League of Arab States at Ministerial Level

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi held a video conference with the delegation of the Republic of Iraq headed by the Minister of Trade, Dr. Alaa Al-Jubouri at the meeting of the 106th session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, chaired by the State of Kuwait.

The meeting discussed a number of key items, including how to deal with the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic, support for the State of Palestine to face the social impacts of this pandemic, and Lebanon’s support to overcome the repercussions of the Beirut Port disaster.

The meeting also discussed the agenda presented to the Ministers, which was discussed by the social and economic committees of the council and by senior officials. They raised a set of decisions in preparation for consideration by the ministers.

The ministers discussed the issue of dealing with the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic from various social, health, humanitarian and economic aspects, as it will be among the items of high priority for the councils meeting, as well as supporting the efforts of the State of Palestine to contain this pandemic and its social and humanitarian repercussions.
