Polish Deputy Foreign Minister : Pledging to Aid Iraq and Remove it from List of High-risk Countries

The Chargé d’affairs of Iraqi Embassy in Poland Mr. Hussain Mansour Al-Safi, met in the Polish Ministry of Finance with Mr. Piotr Dziedzic, Inspector General for Financial Information Affairs in addition to his other positions as Deputy Polish Minister of Finance and Deputy Head of the Financial Treasury Authority in the Republic of Poland, as well as Mr. Marcin Stec, Director of Financial Information Department, and Mrs. Ewa Szwarska Zabuuska from the same department.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Chargé d’affairs expressed his pleasure and gratitude for this visit, stressing at the same time the strength of the bilateral relations that bind Iraq and Poland at all levels, and the decision recently taken by the European Commission, which includes the inclusion of Iraq in the list of high risk countries on money laundering and terrorist financing, indicating the efforts of the Iraqi government in this regard at local and international levels.
On his part, Mr. Dziedzic expressed his full understanding of the efforts of the Iraqi government in this regard and pledged to make efforts and take the necessary measures by the government in order to lift Iraq from the list of high-risk countries.
