The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Discusses with Egyptian Minister for Military Production Ways to Enhance Joint Cooperation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and Permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi met with Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production at the Ministry’s office, to discuss ways to enhance issues of joint cooperation between the two sides and the possibility of exchanging expertise and manufacturing technology in various industrial fields.

At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dulaimi congratulated the Minister of Military Production on his assumption of his new position, wishing him success in his duties.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dulaimi stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Egyptian military production companies and their Iraqi counterparts in various fields, explaining that Iraq has now become an attractive arena for foreign companies and investments after achieving the final victory over Da’esh terrorist gangs and its security stability and political openness to its regional and international surroundings, noting that Egypt, with its capabilities, will be a major and important factor in contributing to the reconstruction of Iraq in the military and civilian fields, indicating that the keenness to cooperate with the Ministry of Military Production comes within the framework of the technological, manufacturing, technical, research and infrastructure capabilities of its subsidiary companies, in addition to what it enjoys of good reputation, speed and accuracy in performing the work entrusted to it and its participation in the implementation of many national and development projects in Egypt, which contributes to the success of joint cooperation, adding that there are many indicators that reflect the existence of promising opportunities to establish an industrial partnership between the two sides in various fields.

Minister Morsi affirmed to Ambassador Al-Dulaimi the keenness of the Egyptian government headed by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, on activating all the methods of cooperation between the two countries in many areas, expressing his hope that the coming period will witness strengthening of constructive relations between Iraq and Egypt, and opening prospects for them, reviewing the government’s efforts on the economic track, stressing the importance of strategic cooperation between the two brotherly countries, which aims to increase areas of joint cooperation and exchange of experiences in various fields.
