The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff

Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, met with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lieutenant-General Nadeem Raza.
The Ambassador expressed his thanks for the efforts made by the Pakistani side regarding the training and developing the skills of the Iraqi officers in various military courses held by the Pakistani military.

The Ambassador expressed Iraq’s desire for joint cooperation between the two countries, and benefiting from Pakistani experiences, especially on the military side, noting the upcoming visit of Lieutenant-General (Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah), Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, to Pakistan early next year.
The head of the Pakistani Joint Chiefs of Staff Mr. Nadeem Raza expressed his willingness to provide all kinds of support, and important prospects that will be achieved in the near future for the benefit of both sides, announcing his country’s readiness to offer all military products of heavy and light weapons, and the possibility of joint manufacturing with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
Mr. Nadeem Raza expressed his desire to visit Iraq as soon as possible for the religious, social and historical relations that the two friendly countries enjoy.
