Acting Head of Europe Department Meets with Hungarian Ambassador to Iraq

The Acting Head of Europe Department Mr. Ali Shamran met with the Hungarian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Atilla Tar, and the accompanying delegation that includes a number of businessmen, among them the Iraqi businessman Sheikh Faisal Al-Abdullah.

The two sides discussed a number of issues that concern both countries, and raising prospects for bilateral cooperation to meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

The Acting head of Europe Department expressed appreciation for the preventive medical assistance provided by Sheikh Faisal Al-Abdullah in cooperation with Hungarian companies in the framework of supporting Iraqi efforts to confront the emerging coronavirus, and expressed his thanks for this good humanitarian initiative that is appreciated by the Iraqi people, and an indication of the strong relations between the two peoples, and the sincere practical willingness for solidarity in times of adversity.

These aid supplies are three shipments, the first of which arrived in Iraq on 7/11/2020, and the second arrived on 13/7/2020 and include an ambulance equipped with the latest medical technologies, more than a million masks, medical gloves, protective suits, sterilized materials of various uses, medical glasses, and materials that help in the response to the Coronavirus pandemic, and mitigate its effects.

The third shipment is scheduled to arrive in the coming days.
