Iraq Receives 25 Tons of Preventive Medical Supplies from the Azerbaijan

A shipment of preventive medical supplies from the Republic of Azerbaijan arrived at Baghdad airport.

Iraqi embassy in Baku, and through communication with the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, and continuous follow-up for the purpose of providing support to the Iraqi health sector has obtained approval of the Azerbaijani side to send a plane loaded with 25 tons of medical supplies to Iraq.

This comes to reflect the depth and interdependence of relations between the two countries, and activation of bilateral cooperation in confronting the viral pandemic.

The acting Chargé d’affaires, Mr. Makki Al-Maamouri praised the Azerbaijani position in support of Iraq, stressing the importance of cooperation in the field of health and other fields to achieve the common aspirations of the peoples of both countries within the joint world efforts of to confront the viral pandemic, expressing his confidence in the sustainability and strength of the future of bilateral relations.

The Medical supplies include syringes, masks, sterilisers, protective suits, and medical alcohol.
