The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in The Hague Operates Second Exceptional Flights to Erbil

The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in The Hague conducted the second exceptional flight to transport Iraqis stranded in the Netherlands due to the comprehensive ban measures to confront the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

The flight was made in coordination with the Crisis Cell and the Protocol Department at the Ministry’s headquarters and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Department of Foreign Relations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the Iraqi and Dutch civil aviation authorities.

The flight transported several Iraqis from Erbil Airport to Amsterdam Airport, with a total number of 209 passengers evacuated on the plane .

The embassy was keen to be present to ensure the procedures and to bid farewell to the passengers and check on their safety.
