The Embassy of Republic of Iraq to Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Operates an Exceptional Flight to Return Stranded Iraqis

The Embassy of Republic of Iraq to Amman conducted an exceptional flight to Baghdad with 165 passengers on board of Iraqis stranded in Jordan due to the comprehensive ban measures taken by many countries in the world in the face of the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
This comes in coordination with the Crisis Cell, the Protocol Department at the Ministry’s headquarters and Iraqi Airways.
The embassy in Amman, through its official accounts on social media and hotlines called on Iraqi citizens in Jordan who wish to return to the country to register their data in order to prepare return trips for them.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Amman praised the cooperation shown by the Jordanian side in order to facilitate the exceptional flights for the return of the Iraqis to the country in light of the suspension of flights between the different countries of the world.
The Iraqi diplomatic staff accompanied the passengers to the airport to facilitate their travel procedures.
It is worth noting that this trip is the 17th exceptional flight the embassy is operating to Iraq with a total number of (3336) returned Iraqis so far.
