Foreign Minister Meets his Estonian Counterpart and Discusses the Opening of Estonian Embassy in Baghdad and Bilateral Cooperation between Foreign Ministries and Developing Diplomatic Capabilities

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Estonian Foreign Minister Mr. Urmas Reinsalu.

The two Ministers discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

Minister Alhakim expresed his appreciation for Estonia’s stances in supporting Iraq in confronting Da’esh terrorist by training Iraqi security forces through the Global coalition.

Minister Alhakim stated that Iraq is a fertile environment for Estonian companies to invest and contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq, expressing Iraq’s desire to benefit from Estonian experiences in the field of e-government, because of its role in combating corruption and terrorism.
