Deputy Head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department Meets Deputy Chief of Japanese Embassy to Baghdad

The deputy head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department, Mr. Ali Hilal, met with the deputy head of Japan Mission in Baghdad, Mr. Cho Nakagawa, and discussed a number of issues of common concern, including mutual support in international organizations.

Mr. Ali Hilal expressed his appreciation for Japan’s supportive stances in Iraq, including the continuous support for the efforts of the United Nations in the Mine Clearance Service (UNMAS) to clear the liberated cities, and the high coordination with the Iraqi authorities specialized in this field.

On his part, Mr. Nakagawa thanked the Government of Iraq for its support on the draft resolution (Building a Peaceful and Better World through Sport), which was recently adopted at the General Assembly.
