Quartet Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim Ali participated in a meeting that included Jordan’s Foreign Minister Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, Lebanese Foreign Minister Mr. Gebran Bassil, and Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The meeting discussed the Syrian refugee crisis, which calls for humanitarian interventions that secure access to decent livelihoods, and the development of urgent plans to alleviate their suffering, in addition to adopting strategies that focus on supporting the economy of the host countries in order to maintain social and economic stability.
The meeting stressed the need for the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to bear more responsibility for this crisis and to secure the necessary humanitarian and development support.
