Head of Europe Department Meets Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Baghdad

Head of Europe Department Dr. Ismail Shafiq met with with Mr. Vesa_Häkkinen, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Baghdad.

During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them to meet the aspiration of the two friendly peoples.

Ambassador Ismail stated that the opening of a Finnish embassy in Baghdad would strengthen relations, calling for the importance of exchanging high-level visits within the framework of developing the momentum of bilateral cooperation and benefiting both countries, noting that Iraq has a fertile investment environment in which Finnish companies can invest, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
