The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq participated in the opening ceremony of the Crescent in the Sky Festival in the Czech Republic, which was held at the Czech Foreign Ministry. The Ambassador recited a poem of the great Iraqi poet Mr. Badr Shakir Al-Sayab which was welcomed and admired by all, and stressed the importance of a united, secure and prosperous Iraq, and that stability and prosperity prevail in the Arab countries, and the Palestinian people receive their rights,and considered that this festival l is of great importance because it represents a bridge between the civilizations of East and West, and an opportunity to introduce the Czech public to Arab culture, literature and heritage.
